Spring Tide is live. It is our first full release, Pelaris 1.2.0, and it is on the web now, rolling out to the App Store and Google Play as each store approves the update.

A spring tide is the highest tide of the month, the one where the sun and the moon pull in the same direction. That is what this release felt like to build: everything lining up at once. The apps, the health integrations, a coach that answers as it thinks, and the business finally standing on its own feet. This post covers what shipped, what it costs, and what changes for the people who were here before today, which is nothing.

Your sessions complete themselves

Connect Apple Health on iPhone or Health Connect on Android and Pelaris reads your workouts and heart rate, with your permission, read-only. When a workout on your phone matches a planned session, the session completes itself. When you do something unplanned, it lands in your history and your coach reads it as load.

This is the piece that makes your coach honest on mobile. It was already adapting next week from this week; now “this week” includes the run you logged on your watch and never typed in. Setup is in connect Apple Health or Health Connect.

Today on Android: two of five sessions done this week. A matching workout from Apple Health or Health Connect now ticks these off for you.

Bring your history with you

Export from Hevy or Strong, import into Pelaris, done. Your sessions, your sets and your PRs come across in one pass, so the coach can see where you have been before it writes where you are going. The walkthrough is in switching from Hevy or Strong.

A coach that answers as it thinks, and remembers

The coach conversation now streams. You see the answer arrive as it is written, instead of waiting on a spinner for a wall of text. Under the surface it also remembers the small things: the shoulder you mentioned on Tuesday, the fact that your gym has no cable stack, the race you are pointing at. Say it once and it stays said.

Auto, by default

Program length and weekly rhythm now default to Auto. Your coach chooses both from your goal and your available days rather than asking you to guess how many weeks a block should be. If you know exactly what you want, set it yourself and the coach builds around it.

The small things under the barbell

  • The rest timer keeps running in the background, so switching apps or locking your phone no longer resets it.
  • Cleaner keyboard handling when you log sets, especially on Android.
  • Honest completion counts: a finished session reports what you actually did, not what was planned.
  • Dozens of fixes across intake, generation, the session screen and sync, most of them reported by you.

Founders: everything stays free, forever

You were here before any of this: before the apps, before the health integrations, before the business had a name on paper. Every session you logged, every bug you reported and every “this would be better if” shaped what shipped this week.

So here is the deal for everyone who joined before general availability (Spring Tide, 1 October 2026): you are a founding member. The founding-member offer was part of the Spring Tide launch and has now closed, and what it promised stands. Every feature, on every platform, free, forever. Nothing changes for you and nothing is ever taken away. You will never see a paywall, and if you ever see a plan prompt you did not expect, reply to any email from us and we will sort it the same day.

Plans, for everyone joining from here

Pelaris now has a plan for every kind of athlete. The full detail is on the pricing page; the short version:

  • Beach is free, forever. Workout logging and tracking, full history with no caps, every chart, PR detection, benchmarks, the weekly debrief, CSV export, Strava and health platform connections, the AI coach conversation, and Pelaris in Claude and ChatGPT. Beach also includes a fresh program about every six months and a body scan about every three, and every new member gets a full program and a month of it adapting to them, free, no card.
  • Pelaris Ocean brings a fresh AI program every month, an AI body scan every month, and a program that keeps adapting, always on. AUD 15 a month, or AUD 120 a year.
  • Pelaris Horizon removes the limits: unlimited programs, unlimited body scans, and a program that keeps adapting, always on. AUD 20 a month, or AUD 160 a year.

Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST, and the same numbers apply in USD, EUR and GBP. One subscription covers the web, iOS and Android.

The promise underneath all of it is unchanged: logging, history, charts, PRs and export are free forever, and we will never move a free feature behind a paywall. The apps we get compared to charge for exactly those things. We charge for the AI that works on your behalf, and only that.

Get the apps

Pelaris is on the App Store and Google Play as Pelaris: AI Fitness Coach. Sign in with the account you already use and your program, history and coach are waiting. The web app at coach.pelaris.io is unchanged and still the full product.

If you are a founder and Pelaris has earned it, a sentence on the App Store or Google Play helps more than you would think for a one-person company.

What this means for your training

  • Your phone feeds your coach. Apple Health and Health Connect workouts complete sessions and count as load
  • Your history comes with you. Hevy and Strong imports land in one pass, PRs included
  • The coach answers as it thinks. Streaming replies, and a memory for the small things
  • Less to configure. Program length and rhythm default to Auto, chosen from your goal
  • Nothing changes for founders. Free, forever, on every platform
  • A plan for everyone else. Every new member gets a full program and a month of it adapting to them, free, no card. Then choose Pelaris Ocean or the Horizon plan if you want it to keep going

Frequently asked questions

I was already using Pelaris. Do I have to pay now?

No. Everyone who joined before general availability (Spring Tide, 1 October 2026) is a founding member, with every feature on every platform free, forever. Nothing changes and nothing is taken away. The founding-member offer was part of the Spring Tide launch and has now closed.

Do I need to do anything to get Spring Tide?

No. The web app is already on 1.2.0. The iOS and Android apps update through the App Store and Google Play as each store approves the release; sign in with the account you already use and everything is there.

What does Auto program length actually do?

Program length and weekly rhythm now default to Auto, which means your coach chooses them from your goal and your week instead of asking you to guess. You can still set either one yourself.

If I subscribe on my phone, does it work on the web?

Yes. A plan is attached to your account, not a device. One subscription covers the web app, the iOS app and the Android app.
