Training-day reminders

Training-day reminders give you a heads-up on the days you have a session planned, at a time that suits you. They are switched on when you agree to coach updates. A card on your Today screen lets you choose when they arrive, or tap Not now to switch them off.

Your reminder card

Once your first program is ready, your Today screen asks Want a heads-up on training days? Pick Morning of or Evening before and the hour that suits you.

  • Yes, remind me keeps reminders on at the time you picked.
  • Not now switches them off.

Once you answer, the card goes away. You can change your reminders any time in Notification Settings.

Change the time or switch them off

  1. Open Profile. On a phone, it sits under More.
  2. In Preferences, tap Notification Settings.
  3. Scroll down to Training-day reminders and use the switch to turn them on or off.
  4. With reminders on, choose Morning of or Evening before under When, and the hour under Time. Morning of starts at 07:00 and Evening before at 19:00, until you pick another hour.

What to expect

  • At most one reminder a day, only for days with a planned session, and never for a rest day.
  • It arrives around the hour you picked. Morning of says “Today’s session is ready when you are.” and Evening before says “Tomorrow’s session is ready when you are.”
  • It never shows your session details, so your lock screen stays private.
  • Pelaris plans your reminders a week ahead each time you open the app, so they keep up with your plan as it changes.
  • Reminders are set on your phone, so they work in the Pelaris apps for iOS and Android, not the web app.

Allow notifications

The reminder is a notification, so it can only appear once notifications are allowed for Pelaris on your phone. Pelaris asks for notification permission when you tap Yes, remind me on the reminder card, or switch reminders on in Notification Settings. If notifications are off, Notification Settings shows Notifications are off on this device with an Open settings button, which takes you to your phone’s settings for Pelaris.
